YouTube Restricted Mode on Smartphone

  • Login to your YouTube account
  • Go to YouTube.com (mobile app version)
  • You can see your profile picture. Tap on it.
  • Go to Settings > General
  • Under General, you can see the Restricted Mode option. There is a toggle. Tap on it to enable it.

  • Go yo YouTube home page after you log in with your ID
  • Click on your Profile picture
  • In the drop-down menu, towards the last, you can see Restricted Mode which is set to off.

How to Lock the YouTube Restriction mode to the Web Browser

Now, to make sure that the restriction stays unchanged and no one else reverts the settings, let’s lock the Restriction to the browser. When we say of browser, this means we will be doing this step on the PC version of YouTube.

  • Now you have enabled Restricted Mode on your PC
  • Go to home page
  • Click on your Profile picture
  • In the drop-down menu, towards the last, you can see Restriction Mode which is set to on.
  • Click on it
  • You can see the Restricted Mode is enabled
  • Just below it, there is an option to Lock Restricted Mode on this browser. Click on it.
  • You will get redirected to a new page to confirm the lockdown by putting your account password.
  • So, enter the password. That’s it now the Restricted Mode is locked to the web browser.
